Adobe Firefly

Adobe Firefly is Adobe’s image generation engine, developed with a particular focus on commercially safe, copyright conscious use, since it’s trained mainly on content the company owns the rights to. The tool is available both as a standalone website and as part of Adobe’s well known product family.

It’s especially suited to businesses that already work with Photoshop, Illustrator, or Express and want to create and edit images within that same familiar workspace, without constantly switching tools and importing or exporting files. Marketing teams at large organizations also appreciate the tool’s legal transparency.

Key capabilities include generative fill, which lets you add or remove elements from an existing image, image expansion beyond an image’s original borders, and style or texture matching based on a reference sample. The tool also supports typographic effects and vector graphics alongside standard images.
